An Introduction to rojimusic

August 16, 2007

As you have seen from the fliers and on our business cards
roji will be expanding to offer music and shows.
“rojimusic.com” will launch later this fall and offer
customers insight to our concept of why we started as well
as offer music from artists that fit the atmosphere of the
tea lounge. The first release will be “sometime next
galaxy” by the Analog Girl. Hailing from Singapore, the
Analog Girl has been described as a young Yoko Ono with a
sense of musical arrangement and sound compared to Bjork.
She has been well received around the world, playing shows
at the Spitz in London, the Knitting Factory in NYC, and
currently at Café Pause in Tokyo on August 17th. You will
be able to listen as well as buy the ep from the website.
Future releases are also in the works.

Rojimusic is also working with Spark www.sparkartspace.com
to promote the music scene of Syracuse and help bring
touring bands to the city. This will be a once a month
showcase and hopefully generate enough interest so that
they can keep happening. The first of these shows will be
Friday August 17th. The bands will be Guiltmaker and Red
Room Cinema, (progressive indie rock both on tour from
Tampa, FL), as well as Syracuse’s own Hello, Halebopp!.
Admission is $5 doors open @7pm and its all ages. Roji Tea
Lounge will have a stand selling Bubble Tea and Vegan
Cookies. Now you have to go!!! If you are a band
interested in setting up a show or know of a band touring
I’m currently working on another date set for Sept 28th
with Kingsbury. You can contact me at
www.Christian@roji-tealounge.com

There will also be shows set at Roji Tea Lounge once the
new renovations are completed, including monthly screenings
with Syracuse Experimental. More news will be sent out on
this later this month.
