Newsletter Sep 2007

Hi. This is TOMOMI @ roji tea lounge. I hope you are
enjoying the last part of summer. Welcome back SU students.
Farewell till next break Syracuseans!. Here are some new
updates at roji this month.

<Genmai-cha (simple) on sale>
It is pop-rice green tea in canister and when you purchase
1oz loose tea from us, the canister comes free. We only
have several left so come get it quick if you are a fan of
nutty green tea.

<Meetup – Japanese Connection is on Sat, Sep 22>
If you are interested in Japanese culture and language,
visit;
http://japanese.meetup.com/492/calendar/6322912/
Oct meetup is scheduled as well. New members are always
welcome.

<Whip cream>
We have settled with homemade whip cream. This is something
I always wanted to offer since the beginning and you’ll
taste the difference. We are keeping Soy whip cream too of
course.

<Herbal Chai Bubble tea>
It’s continued on our special as we thought more people may
enjoy it by keeping it a little longer.

<Expansion>
We apologize for those who are waiting for this new space.
We’re still waiting from building management and this is
something we don’t have much control over… Once this
happens, we will have more night events and we’ll
definitely let you know.

<Eco-friendly offer>
Remember, when you bring tea canisters to purchase teas,
you get free samples. (of roji’s choice available at that
time) Be sure to mention it to us so you get it.

When you bring your travel mug, 10th drink is FREE. (see
details in environment special)

<Japanese style Art work>
We are introducing Ed Feldman, the local artist who is
providing us with Matcha tea bowls with his unique design
of modern traditional twist. I love them. (I have a couple
myself) Don’t miss his trademark crest which he told me
that his professor made fun of and said “get rid of it” and
Ed said “No” to…! All his work has them. I can’t wait to
see the other work he did because they are so beautiful and
just fit the vibe of the shop so well. We use some of his
creations with our soy chai bowls.His dream is to go to
Japan and learn more about ceramics. He is a super nice guy
too.

<Cookie recipe upgrade>
Vegan cookies are tough to make, but that can’t be an
excuse. The actual taste of tea comes out soooo much better
with the new recipe. If you are frequent customer, you’ve
been getting them already.
